Patrick “Packy” Mader is delighted to present a program on Minnesota Olympians and the adversity they have overcome at Fifty North Senior Center in Northfield on Wednesday, March 15th. These remarkable athletes have compelling personal stories related to Packy about their athletic careers and include hockey players John Mayasich (Eveleth), Henry Boucha (Warroad) and Buzz Schneider (Babbitt); runners Carried Tollefson (Dawson), Ted Nelson (Faribault; the first Minnesota athlete to run a sub-4-minute mile), and sprinter Mark Lutz (Rochester); 2002 Olympian flag bearer speedskater Amy Peterson (Maplewood); basketball star Lindsay Whalen (Hutchinson); Lakeville Olympians Wiz Bachmann in volleyball and Regan Smith in swimming; and other Dakota County athletes.

There will be a question-and-answer time and book signing following the program.  Children’s books by the author will also be available for sale at the steeply discounted price of $5 per book!
