Taking place in the hometown of star Paralympian basketball player Rose Hollerman, Patrick “Packy” Mader will be presenting a program in Elysian, Minnesota, on Monday, October 17th at 6:00 p.m.  Greater insight on her astounding career may be provided by family members.  Nearby resident and Paralympic volleyball player Lexi Shifflett will also be highlighted as will Minnesota’s rich heritage of Olympians.

The hour long Power Point slide program will explain the personal histories and athletic careers of many notable Minnesota athletes such as hockey stars John Mayasich, Buzz Schneider, and Lee Stecklein; runners Carrie Tollefson and Bob Kempainen; flag bearer and three-time speedskating medalist Amy Peterson; area athletes from Faribault, Storden-Jeffers, and Austin; and reveal the perseverance required to overcome many obstacles they have faced.
